Attitude

It really is everything. The attitude that we choose to display daily speaks volumes about who we are and whom we serve. As teachers, we are always on display. Our emotions, our thoughts, our words, and our actions are constantly being scrutinized and yes even being talked about. If it’s not you doing the talking, it’s someone doing the talking about you. It’s the school environment. It’s just how it is. But have you ever been around negativity and felt your attitude succumbing to the same or felt pepped up when others are only positive around you? As a teacher it’s tough. Our attitude has the power to change the students and the community we serve.

When I choose to serve the Lord I know that I choose my attitude as well.

Joshua 24:15 (NIV)

“…choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve… But as for me and my household,we will serve the Lord.”

Dear Lord, I confess it is not always easy to have a positive attitude. When I am swamped with happenings of the day and worried about cramming all of the other days into this one please help me to remember each day I serve you. Humble me in serving you so I am able to successfully serve others. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.
